Artist to Artist 2011 – Visiting Arts and Delfina Foundation http://www.delfinafoundation.com/exhibitions_and_talks

Khaled Hafez will be travelling from Cairo to meet me in London between April 11th – 17th. We will work on a joint project, stemming from our initial encounter 16 years ago when we met in Siwa Oasis in the Egyptian desert, only to lose contact. Khaled will return with my backpack that he has looked after in his Cairo apartment all this time. This project is an opportunity to catch up, reflect on our different perspectives, ideas and practices, develop stronger cross-cultural relations and unpack.
